About KHTI

The Karnataka Handloom Technology Institute which was started in the year 1994 under state sector is working under department of Handloom & Textiles. It is the only institute in Karnataka offering Diploma course in Handloom and Textile Technology following the curriculum of Indian Institute of Handloom Technology. Diploma course in Handloom and Textile.

This institute is functioning under the administrative control of the Commissioner for Textile Development and Director of Handloom & Textiles Government of Karnataka.

The students from southern states namely Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Goa & Pondicherry study at this institute.

LOCATION : Karnataka Handloom Technology Institute, Narasapur Gadag, is situated on the outskirts of Gadag-Betageri town on the way to Ron and is surrounded by lush green and serene atmosphere. It spreads over sprawling area of 8.3 acres.
